ALKAAR POTAMISI MESSAREA WINERY 750ml

An authentic and untamed “natural” orange wine from the steep, granite-soiled vineyards of Ikaria. Made from the indigenous Potamisi variety, this wine undergoes skin contact and fermentation with wild yeasts in traditional vessels, following a philosophy of zero intervention. It presents a hazy, deep amber color in the glass. The nose is complex and rustic, offering aromas of dried apricots, honeycomb, and wild herbs like thyme and oregano, with a distinct stony minerality. On the palate, it is medium-to-full bodied with a raw textural grip, vibrant acidity, and a salty, lingering finish. A true expression of Ikarian “slow living” in a bottle.
