An astounding rum from Guatemala for which concentrated juice from the first press of sugar cane is used, distilled in a single copper-lined column still that imparts even greater aromatic richness. Maturation takes place at the unbelievable altitude of 2,300 meters, nearly above the clouds. The rum ages slowly, acquiring monumental complexity in a solera system (of American whisky, sherry, and Pedro Ximenez barrels) where distillates of various ages are blended. The XO contains rums aged 6 to 25 years which, after blending, mature further in French cognac barrels. Perfect balance, harmony, and complexity. It can accompany all your great moments.
