Elegant and defined by toasted aromas, “R” de Ruinart Brut N.V. is a complex, aristocratic Champagne from a historic House. While it drinks beautifully now, it possesses the structure to improve in the bottle for at least five years. The nose reveals fresh pear, apricot, and almonds alongside discreet floral notes, while the palate features a fine effervescence with lingering hints of butterscotch and brioche on the finish. The blend consists of 40% Chardonnay, 57% Pinot Noir, and 3% Pinot Meunier, resulting in a balanced and rounded character. The grapes are hand-harvested, and 20–25% of the final blend is composed of reserve wines from previous years.
