DOM PERIGNON P2 BRUT
Description
With its remarkable ease and generosity, the 2004 vintage stands out in the history of Dom Pérignon. The year unfolded in a near-ideal scenario, with each season transitioning smoothly without disruption; a cool August was followed by weeks of dry heat that perfected the harvest, which began on September 24th with exceptionally mature grapes. In this second plenitude, the fruit remains discreet yet more clearly defined, as citrus notes of pink grapefruit and blood orange gently give way to figs. The extended time on the lees elevates the vintage’s minerality alongside the majestic maturity that is the Dom Pérignon signature, revealing notes of cocoa, mocha, roasted nuts, brioche, and honey. On the palate, the wine balances on an edge of immediacy and surprise, evolving between intensity and weightlessness with a deep, sculptural precision. These sensations culminate in a persistent and elegant finish, underscored by the sophisticated, astringent notes of liquorice.
