LA TOUR MELAS PALIES RIZES 750ml

A “unicorn” wine in the Greek market, Palies Rizes is produced from a tiny, one-hectare parcel of ungrafted (franc de pied) Agiorgitiko vines in Nemea that are over 100 years old. While La Tour Melas is based in central Greece, they nursed this ancient Nemean vineyard back to life to create an Agiorgitiko of monumental concentration and French-style finesse. The wine is aged for 15 months in large Austrian oak barrels, resulting in a profile of deep black fruit, graphite, and wild herbs, with a “filigree” tannic structure that is both powerful and incredibly precise.
