MASSOLINO BAROLO

Clear, medium intensity garnet. A combination of black and red fruits on the nose with prominent wild cherry, spicy notes, a vegetal hint reminiscent of wet forest leaves, mushrooms, and truffles. In the background, dried flowers and traces of pitch. The nose needs time to reveal its complexity. On the palate, perfectly dry, with aggressive textured tannins, provocatively high acidity, medium body, and a long finish. A wine that is likely not to be enjoyable on its own, but will fully express alongside game, braised red meats, and of course the classic truffles from the neighboring Alba region. Ready to drink, but certainly has a decade ahead for development in the bottle.
